Felicians are a voluntary and self-determining group of equals sharing discipleship and ministry. Our life in community has been a gradual transformation - one story uniting many stories. We are truly a merging of individuals stories without losing them - a way of seeing the world and being in the world.

The Felician Sisters of Chicago Province have become united through the common experience of a core vision. We are a community burning with the same fire. The emphasis is not on ourselves but on the original vision and on being catapulted outward by that vision.

We do not build community - community is. However, we do build structures that nurture our attention to the vision, of keeping them alive - central.

Community means standing within the same story, looking at life from there - sharing, catching, burning, standing, being, embracing the founding vision, being in unity in a world torn by disunity.
