The Felician Sisters
mission is most universally expressed this way -
"To cooperate with Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world."
A mission is defined
generally as a heartfelt purpose of aim of a group. It is, in fact, the
very reason a group exists. The mission also answers the question of why
we do what we do. For Felicians being called as church, overflows into
the call of being missioned, being called into service.
Jesus had a mission.
His mission was to proclaim and reveal the Reign of God.
The Church has a
mission that flows from that of Jesus. It is the community of believers
- the body of Christ - to proclaim, to celebrate the Good News and to
serve all God's people.
The Felician Sisters
mission is most universally expressed this way - "To cooperate with
Christ in the spiritual renewal of the world." Our mission grows
out of our true identity - that of sharing in Blessed Angela's charism.
At the heart of the Felician mission is compassionate service. Felicians
understand that his compassion, a Gospel mandate, is the fruit of solitude
and prayer and the very basis for doing mission.
