Vision is often described
as the picture we have of the future of a group. It is a vivid, imaginative
conception flowing from our mission and who we say we are. Vision gives
us a sense of direction. It provides us with a shared plan and goals for
the future.
The Vision statement
of the Felician Sisters - Chicago Province is an inspired, communal statement
from our 1999 Province Chapter Meeting and thus is a truly shared vision.
Because we desire a vibrant and vital future, it too is a vivid, imaginative
picture of that desired future - Women On Fire.
As "Women On
Fire" Felicians work at keeping our "old" fires alive for
the sake of building new ones. For honoring our tradition doesn't mean
that we hang onto the ashes of the past, but means rather to fan the flame.
